Direction for Use

Surface preparation

Steel: Clean the surfaces from grease and dirt with e.g. TEKNOSOLV 1639. Roughen up the surfaces by rubbing or wire-brushing.

Blast-clean demanding surfaces to grade Sa 2½.

Concrete surfaces: The concrete must be at least 4 weeks old and dry. Remove brittle concrete by rubbing or hydroblasting with sand.

Open the tubes by pressing the cap tooth against the tube mouth. Turn the cap to make sure that the mouth is fully opened. Squeeze equally long stripes of Base and Hardener out of the tubes on a smooth substrate. Mix and stir carefully till the mixture has a uniform light grey colour. Apply required thickness by putty knife, plastic or rubber spatula. Remove surplus and splashes. Smooth out the spatula marks before the putty has cured. The putty coat is easiest to rub down after 8 - 16 hours (at room temperature). The surface can be overcoated with paint or putty after about 6 hours. A fully cured, glossy putty coat must be flatted down before overcoating.

Application conditions

During priming and application of the putty and drying period the temperature of the ambient air, the surface and the putty shall be above +10 °C and the relative air humidity below 80 %. The application surface must be dry.
