FUTURA 90 Furniture paint

         

A thixotropic urethane alkyd paint. Finish: full gloss.

FUTURA 90 is suitable for top coating of wooden and primed metal surfaces on detached furniture both indoors and outdoors.

NOTE! Because of the danger of self-ignition, any waste from the product, spray mist and soiled rags etc. are to be kept in a fire-proof place in air-tight containers. Immersion in water is also recommended.
Direction for Use

Surface preparation

The surface to be painted must be clean.

Wash previously painted surfaces with RENSA SUPER paint cleaner.

Remove loose and poorly adherent paint coats.

Remove rust from the metal surfaces with wire-brush.

Matt down hard or gloss surfaces by sanding and thereafter remove the dust.

Stop up pits and crevices with SILORA A Carpentry Filler. Matt down the surfaces and remove the dust.

Priming

Prime the metal surfaces with FERREX Anticorrosive Paint.

Prime unpainted wooden, chipboard and also surfaces that have been painted with alkyd, oil or acid-curing paint with FUTURA 3 Adhesion primer.

Application

The paint is thixotropic and must be stirred thoroughly before use.

Apply by brush, roller or spray.

Suitable airless spray nozzle is 0.011 - 0.013".

When applying by spray, if needed thin the paint 5 - 15 percent by volume with TEKNOSOLV 9500.

When a second coat is required, it can be applied on the following day.

Application conditions

The surface to be painted has to be dry. During the application and drying period the temperature of the ambient air, the surface and the paint shall be above +5 °C and the relative air humidity below 80 %.
