Surface preparation | Clean the surfaces by washing with RENSA SUPER paint cleaner, sanding or brushing. Clean old, intact varnish coats from grease and dirt and matt them down. If the varnish coat is weathered or flaking, it is removed entirely by sanding. Old varnish coats can also be stripped off with paint remover and scraper. Thereafter the surface is sanded. |
Varnishing | Stir the varnish thoroughly down to the bottom of the can before use. Thin NATURA 40 for priming by adding up to 15% water. Apply by a 3 - 4" varnish brush, conventional or airless spray. The spraying viscosity should be 25 - 40 s, DIN 4. Use airless spray nozzles 0.009 - 0.015". When the first coat has dried it can be sanded lightly to remove protruding wood fibres. Use undiluted varnish for the second coat. If a very fine and durable finish is desired, apply three coats of varnish. Rub down the surface carefully before the finish coat is applied. |
Application conditions | During the varnishing and drying period the temperature of the ambient air, the surface and the varnish shall be above +10 °C and the relative air humidity below 80 %. |
Storage | Must not freeze. |
